Why I'm Grateful: Day 6

Hello and welcome back to day 6 of the 30 days of gratitude! Today's theme is all about my inspirations and why I'm thankful for them.

~The Merriam- Webster definition of Inspiration is something that makes someone want to do something or that gives someone an idea about what to do or create; a force or influence that inspires someone.~

Many things inspire me on a daily basis whether it's other bloggers/ blog posts or just the simplicity of nature. If I see things around town or reviews I've read about a product, it usually gives me inspiration to try a new makeup item out or a new fashion look. I'm thankful to be easily inspired by the little things in life because it helps me to appreciate life that much more!

Now that I'm married, I've been wanting to redecorate our house and Pinterest has inspired me quite a lot when it comes to interior design! I'm thankful for my love of decorating and I go nuts around the holidays! Whether it's Halloween, Christmas, or Easter, no matter what holiday, it gives me a good excuse to go all out! I get very inspired to spread the seasonal joy and make the house looking very festive! Can you blame me really? Who doesn't like putting up decorations?! It's so much fun.

I am so thankful to start building my cookbook collection up again because just flipping through all of the endless options inspires me to become a better cook; not just for myself but I would LOVE for other people to like my cooking as well. One item recently that I've been trying out recipes from is Tanya Burr's new book Tanya Bakes!

Seeing various TV shows about traveling and learning about other countries history and culture inspires me to travel! My husband and I started watching a documentary on the castles around Britain and it's so fun learning things that you had no idea about! One thing that I'd love to do is to try and visit most of the castles in England, I think it would be so much fun! I'm thankful to say that I got engaged at the Bodiam Castle in East Sussex, a memory that I'll never forget!

I could ramble on about the different things that inspire me but I think you get the idea! I hope you found this post interesting as it's something that I find easy talking about. Without some form of inspiration, where would we be? What kind of things give you inspiration, I'd love to know!

Until tomorrow,

Ashley

  1. I'm so like you, I love decorating for seasonal events. Pinterest is my best friend, I'm already creating boards for Christmas hahah, as you would realise soon that we don't really celebrate halloween in Europe x
