Gratitude Day 3: My Work

Hello everyone and hope you all are having a fab Saturday so far! Today is day 3 of the #30bbdaysofgratitude challenge and today's theme is why I'm thankful for work. This one I thought might be one of the difficult ones to be able to come up with reasons why I'm thankful.

Currently due to my current visa that I have, I have been unable to work for almost a year now and it's pretty difficult to say the least. Fortunately in previous years, there have been things that I am very grateful for when it comes to work.

I worked at one job for five years and even though it wasn't the best job I met a lot of lovely customers and most of the employees that worked with me became like a second family. One was like a father figure to me in a way and I love the different personalities you come across at any job, it just makes the work shift that much more fun! I'm very grateful for work in general because it makes you learn that the harder you work at something it usually ends up with great rewards like promotions or raises.

I am grateful for being a hard-worker no matter what kind of job I'm doing. I take things seriously but at the same time try to make what I'm doing fun for myself so it doesn't seem like a continuous everyday routine.

I am so thankful and proud of myself for attending and graduating from a community college I went to after high-school. I earned an associates in liberal studies which is technically all of the core classes that you would generally take if you have no idea what you want to be when you grow up. Even though I didn't study a specific field, I'm thankful at how hard I worked studying while also working 30+ hours a week. It's definitely not easy!

I'm so grateful for taking a year long online pharmacy course that allowed me to become a certified state pharmacy technician. It was such an accomplishing feeling seeing my certificate posted in the pharmacy when I began working, it felt very bittersweet in a way because I know how hard I worked towards getting it.

I think no matter what type of work that you involve yourself in, it teaches you to be driven and helps you realize your goals. I'm so grateful to be able to pay my way in the world and it's always a nice feeling getting that paycheck isn't it? Hopefully I'll be able to work in this country after I get the all clear so I can start making friends in my area as well!

I appreciate you all reading my post, I so enjoy writing for this challenge every day! I think the more you look at everything that's been going on in your life and how much your grateful for those things, you start to become more positive no matter what happens. Until tomorrow's theme!

Have a lovely day!

Ashley

    1. Thank you Aurelie! I think I've had the worst visa experience ever but as long as it works out in the end that's all that matters!
